About the Service

Our Kent services include several residential settings supporting autistic adults, as well as the Kent Centre, which provides daytime support and a specialist art studio.

About the Role
We are looking for caring and reliable Bank Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

These roles provide vital support across our services in Gravesend. You’ll be working across our small residential and supported living homes, and our activity service. There may also be occasional opportunities to support at a single-person service in Greenwich. You will work flexibly across settings, helping to provide consistent, person-centred support and creating opportunities people we support to build independence and take part in their community.

As a bank worker, you would have the same opportunities as permanent staff and play a full and valued role within the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating) 
  • Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts) 
  • Support life skills& independence(budgeting, shopping, meal preparation) 

What We’re Looking For

  • For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential 
  • Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

As you are a bank worker, you will be able to pick and choose the shifts that you work, and services have a mixture of hours that can include evenings and weekends.  

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is preferred.

Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
