About the Team
The HR Shared Services team provides high‑quality, consistent HR advice and operational support to managers and employees across the organisation. The team supports the full employee lifecycle, ensures compliance with employment legislation, and delivers excellent customer service. The team works closely with HR Business Partners, safeguarding, and compliance colleagues to support our charity’s regulated and safeguarding‑focused environments.
About the Role
The Employee Relations Advisor plays a pivotal role in proactively supporting line managers to effectively manage HR issues within their teams and reduce employee sickness absence. This role involves close collaboration with managers to provide expert guidance on employee relations casework, develop tailored action plans, and support the long-term development of strategies aimed at improving ER performance, attendance, and overall employee wellbeing.
What You’ll Do
- Provide expert advice and support to line managers in managing employee relations casework
- Build strong relationships with managers and other stakeholders to promote a proactive and consistent approach to management of casework.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and tools.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of employment law and best practices in absence management and employee relations.
- Organisational and time management skills, and ability to work within a service level environment
