About the Team
Our Surrey Family Support Service provides early-intervention support for autistic children, young people, and the parents and carers of autistic children and young people across the county—whether or not they have a formal diagnosis. The team works directly with families to provide practical and emotional support, helping them build their understanding of autism and giving them the tools and strategies to support their child’s needs.
About the Role
As a Community Wellbeing Coordinator, you will deliver a blend of autism‑specific workshops, 1:1 family support, and community‑based activities across Surrey. You will work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a supportive team, using your expertise to empower families, build their confidence, and help them navigate the challenges they may face.
This is a varied role that involves peripatetic work in community venues and family homes across Surrey, as well as periods of remote working from home.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver autism‑specific workshops and training sessions to groups (20+ individuals).
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for families with more complex needs.
- Facilitate drop‑in sessions and community activities for families.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience delivering workshops/training to groups of 20+ participants.
- Professional experience working with autistic children, young people, or their families.
- Strong knowledge of autism-specific approaches and the ability to apply and adapt them.

This advert is for a part-time, fixed term (1 year) position at 29.5 hours per week.
This role is Homebased with peripatetic travel across Surrey.
