About the Team
Our Resource Centre Services provide opportunities for autistic people to connect, build confidence and develop meaningful relationships in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through our adult social groups, we support autistic adults to strengthen self-advocacy skills, increase understanding of neurodiversity, and participate in activities that promote independence, wellbeing and community connection.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Group Leader to coordinate and deliver a well-established monthly face-to-face social group for autistic adults in Guildford. You will plan and facilitate engaging sessions, develop presentations on topics relevant to autistic adults, and help create a welcoming environment where participants can connect with others, share experiences and build confidence. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families, carers and professionals to ensure the group remains responsive to the needs of those who attend.
You must be able to travel to venues to deliver face to face support and live within Surrey.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate a monthly face-to-face social group for autistic adults.
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations and activities on topics relevant to group members.
- Plan off-site activities where appropriate and support safe participation.
- Encourage and support autistic adults to develop self-advocacy skills and have a voice in the planning and evaluation of the service.

- Knowledge and understanding of autism and the needs of autistic adults.
- Ability to manage and facilitate groups in social and community settings.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and liaise effectively with others.

This advert is for a Bank/Casual position. The group runs on the first Thursday of each month, with 3 hours delivery time per month plus additional time for supervision and training where required.
This role is home-based with face-to-face delivery in Guildford, Surrey.
