About the Team
You’ll be part of a dedicated Estates and Facilities team working closely with site leaders, support staff, and external contractors. The team plays a key role in maintaining safe, well‑maintained environments that support the wellbeing of the people who use our services.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep, maintenance, safety, and security of buildings, grounds, and equipment. You’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, coordinate contractors where required, and help ensure sites remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose at all times.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out general repairs, planned maintenance, and routine compliance checks, ensuring buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
- Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues, coordinating with contractors and minimising disruption to services.
- Support site safety by maintaining tools, equipment, vehicles, and records, and responding to emergency or out‑of‑hours call‑outs when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a maintenance or facilities role, with confidence liaising with contractors and suppliers.
- Practical skills across general building maintenance, with a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- A proactive, reliable team player with good communication skills and the ability to work independently when needed.

This role is for a full-time position at 32 Hours, across 4 days per week.
This role is based in Kingsley House, in Bideford, Devon.
